What Lives Beneath the Ambition

The women I work with are, without exception, extraordinary. They lead teams, build companies, hold families together, and still find time to answer the email at 11pm. Their drive is not the problem. But often, it is not entirely theirs, either.
Underneath the ambition, there is almost always a quieter story. A moment, usually very early, when a small girl learned that her worth was contingent on her output. That being good meant being useful. That love was earned, not given.
That story then hardens into a strategy. And the strategy works - beautifully, in fact. Until one day, from the summit of everything you've built, you look around and notice that the view is strangely hollow.
The invitation of this work is not to dismantle the ambition. It is to meet what lives underneath it, so that what you build next is built from choice rather than from the old, quiet fear of not being enough.
